I have 9 others birds 3 finches and 6 budgies they don’t eat as much as her it is annoying she is not a good companion i want to get rid of her but she is my daughters bird what should i do. She only sometimes drinks water but mostly she just wants seeds. She has great toys in her cage and we talk to her. She can’t fly yet because her wings were clipped when we brought her. I only feed her twice a day the rest of the time she just screams and walks around the bottom of her cage looking for seeds she may have dropped it is annoying. I had one before and he played a lot we even taught him to whistle. We miss you king R.I.P
for your info french13toast i knew what I was getting into this is our second cockatiel. And I bird should not eat more than 9 other birds I don’t care how big it is.

My cockatiel always wants out of her new bird cage and won’t eat from her food bowl?

I’ve had my cockatiel for 7 years, and i love her so much! so i went and bought her a new, bigger cage with new perches and everything…she seems to always want to be out of it (more than when she was in her old cage) and hang out with me 24/7 lol. is this because she doesn’t like her new cage?
also…she’ll eat her calcium perch, millet spray, etc, but she won’t eat out of her seed cup. she’d even go to the bottom of the cage and eat her poo :( i showed her where it is and let her watch me pour seeds in it, but she still won’t eat out of it. it’s so weird (and i can tell she’s really hungry!) i’m not sure if she still can’t find it or what but cockatiels are intelligent.
i don’t know if she just needs time to adjust or…?
thanks!
