Why has my sweet, cuddly male lutino been biting me for the past month?!?

Question by Fedup: Why has my sweet, cuddly male lutino been biting me for the past month?!?
Instead, it seems he’s taken to bonding more with our male gray cockatiel (follows him around, etc). The lutino’s aggressive behavior has been going on more than a month (He was boarded at the vets while we were on vacation because he was sick and needed his medication.) Is it possible he’s in breeding mode and if so, how long does this go on?! I want my little guy back!

Sounds like he is in breeding mode. You can try to tone it down by trimming his wings if you haven’t already. You may also try giving him 10-12 hours of daylight a day and cut back on soft foods, this can be a stimuli for breeding. I would also try to move him away from the ‘tiel he’s attaching himself to. Hopefully his hormone swings will die down in a few weeks. You just have to paitent with him and give it time. Good luck.

I have a male and female cockateil. She has had eggs in the past but they never hatch. how do i hatch them?

I was given two cockateils. a male and a female. When we got them there were two eggs in the bottom of the cage. he never sat on them and they ended up breaking. How do i get her to actually sit on the eggs?
