I’d say 2 inside (not including that one on top), perhaps a corner for the second one. It’ll give the bird a little bit of variety. No more than two, though, so the bird will have some room to move around.

I’m getting 2 Cockatiels but before I get one I want to learn as much as I can about them (I have a dog, I did the same thing with her & it saved her life =) )

I have a few questions

Do I need to buy a female & a male (so they won’t try to search for mates & will stay) or female & female etc. etc.
& Do birds search for mates all the time like dogs? (this is why I asked the question above)

How old should the bird be when being sold?
What should I look for in a cockatiel? sign of illness etc. etc.
What questions should I ask the breeder?
What should I get for my cockatiels?
Are they easy to care for?

If you have any advice or tips that would be great!

I just bought a baby Cockatiel that is 4 weeks and a half. He/She seem to be ok. I feed it 3 times a day. The hours I feed it is 9am, 1pm, 6pm or 5, then it’s last at 9 or 10pm. Plus I’ll hold her close to my cheeks. To warm her and give her some love. She makes this cute and lovely noise when I have her warmed next to my neck. She also grinds and nibbles her beak at me. While she’s relaxed and getting a nap.
