Do I have to wait a week to take my new (hand-fed) baby cockatiel out of it’s cage to play/sit with it?

I just bought the cockatiel yesterday and the breeder said to wait a week to let it out of the cage, but it seems so lonely and scared. It liked me handling it when I was in the store.

help with cockatiel questions? free 10 points?

ok well here i go:1. what is a good price for a hand fed cockatiel? 2. what is the proper measurements for a cockatiel cage? 3. how many toys and how many perches should i have in the cage? 4. should i give my single male cockatiel that im getting for my birthday one of those furry hide things? 5. Should i get a cockatiel or quaker parrot? (i think a cockatiel because they say quakers are VERY loud and in my area they cost 125-150 dollars for being hand fed)

Thank you for all your help in advance if you answer any of these questions i will apreciate it, yoko kurama

What is the most successful way to train a cockatiel?

Young male cockatiel, started out hand-fed and then neglected somewhat so he became skittish. Getting more relaxed because I talk to him a lot and he is around in his cage a lot. Any help would be appreciated! :)

Will my Cockateil lay and hatch eggs without Nest box?

My friend gave me a male and a Femael Cockateil about 2 weeks ago. The female is 3 males and 4 or 5. They were both hand-fed. Have been together for around 2 years. My friend convinced him to raise, but the female was not part of stock ….. until they were home with me> I'm not sure what changed but now I have cought them breeding on serveral occations and SI AMANO. I'm not concerned if the children but there have put in a cage is not large enogh for a box of rearing. What should I do? And why would suddenly raise? PS birds are very delicate and very friendly. In fact, many male booed airs and act this way while rearing. How long after that before raising the female should lie?

How long before i can interact with my Cockateil?

I just bought a hand fed cockateil but i’m not quite sure what really to do with him when i get home. I mean, i know he will be scared so should i leave him in his cage for a couple a days until he calms? Or can i take him out and bond with him the first time i bring him home. I don’t want to scare him. I just want to do everything right.

Thanks

Can I put two adult parakeets and a baby cockateil in the same cage?

Fall Beauty asked:

I have two full grown parkaeets that I have had for four years, that are in a big cage. I saw my neighbors this morning with a cage like mine outside with two parakeets and a cockateil in the same cage. I was thinking about getting a baby hand-fed cockateil anyways, but can I put all three birds in the same cage, or should I just scratch the idea and get a separate cage for the cockateil?
