I got this male pet cockatiel (about 6 years old) two days ago. I got him from a couple who had to get rid of him after 6 years cause they’re having a baby and won’t have enough time for him now. His long time mate recently died 6 months ago. This bird is so skiddish. I haven’t even been able to touch him yet. He SCREAMS when you don’t pay attention to him but won’t let you get so much as a finger near him. The couple said he was social (although never one to sit on your shoulder) although I’m afraid that he’ll never be the social bird that I want. I want a bird who will get on my finger and take food from my hand and maybe even hang out on my shoulder. With enough time and patience will this cockatiel become the pet I want or is it too set in it’s skiddish ways? I can’t stand the constant screaming and if it’s never going to get any better, I’m going to have to give him back.

I have a cockatiel and I wanted to get her a new cage but I don’t want to get her a huge one because she isn’t that big…She loves to have space and room to move around. I need one that doesn’t make a echo noise when she goes around the cage. Do you know how much a cage with a shape on the top would cost?

I am looking for a good spray to clean a metal cage with. I have a cockatiel and i don’t want to harm him in any way, shape, or form. But i need something strong enough to get the droppings off without having to scrub hard.

i have a cockatiel and i spry the cage with water or u can soak it then its easier to clean. then whipe the dropping off.

But its broken, I have another big cage but its smaller than the one the guy gave me.

I would get a medium cage, because you don’t want to spend tons of money on it for something that won’t really make a difference. And you dont want it to be to small either… so I think medium is the best.
