Is it normal for my female cockatiel to hiss and yell at me when i walk by her cage?

everytime i walk by her cage she hiss and yells also when i whistle to her she will yell. Is there a way to stop this? Can anyone give me any tips. Thanks!
She isn’t new i’ve had for 3 years i don’t know the problem.

My cockatiel rubs his/her butt on the food dish?

I have been reading that is is normal. Everyone says HE as if it is only the males that do it. I bought a tri colored cockatiel 3 years ago as a mate for my male. They said it is a female. But SHE rubs her tail against the food dish and she hasn’t laid any eggs yet. I have been told that she could take 3-4 years before she would lay eggs but normally she would be laying by 1 year old.
Do I have a female or male? What is going on?
My bird bites like a female.

My pet cockateil is making funny little peeping noises, and they are hard to notice because they are quiet. He does this after we feed him some moist dinner, never after dry food. i have a female cockateil that is not caged with a male, but continues to lay eggs?

has about 3 years and last year began making eggs. Are empty, but i don 't know how long I wait until? taken from the cage. I also wonder if porrla stop. He made 18 eggs in 10 months.

Why is our cockateil mean?

We inherited this cockateil about 3 years ago from a resident of an apartment building we work for. When we first got him he was not trusting of us yet and was a little mean. We bought him toys and took good care of him to try to gain his trust. As time went on he became meaner and began to bite hard, squawk a lot and hiss a lot. We want to give him attention but every time we do he attacks us. We let him out of the cage a lot and all he does is sits on top of his cage and squawks. The crazy thing is that we haven’t even done anything to it.

How can we get him to be a nice loving bird that trusts us?
