i have a question about food for cockatiels?

so i successfully switched their diet to pellet, but i have one problem. i don’t know if i’m feeding them enough. on the package it said to feed them 1/4 of a cup each bird, but that seems like a lot of food and they weren’t even eating that much when they were eating seed, so is that how much i should feed them or what… because right now i’m only feeding them about half that much

COCKATIEL Questions!?

I have a 3 month old Cockatiel and everytime my brother and I leave the room then she starts squeeking/chirping really loud and doesnt stop until we come back into the room. Our parents get very annoyed of this..lol but She hates being left alone but we spend like 2 1/2 hours each day with her or more. How can we fix this? And i know she misses us so dont say that but its right after we leave the room.

Yes we do spend a lot more then 2 1/2 hours with her each day..we are in our bedroom for most of the day..and when we leave the room we even take her with us on one of our shoulders..and just to let you know we just got her from a petstore about 3 weeks ago and she was hand fed and she is about 11 weeks old now. She still sometimes can be nippy but loves attention. She does have a lot of toys in her cage and about three mirrors but doesnt pay much attention to them..lol… but its just

I have 9 others birds 3 finches and 6 budgies they don’t eat as much as her it is annoying she is not a good companion i want to get rid of her but she is my daughters bird what should i do. She only sometimes drinks water but mostly she just wants seeds. She has great toys in her cage and we talk to her. She can’t fly yet because her wings were clipped when we brought her. I only feed her twice a day the rest of the time she just screams and walks around the bottom of her cage looking for seeds she may have dropped it is annoying. I had one before and he played a lot we even taught him to whistle. We miss you king R.I.P
for your info french13toast i knew what I was getting into this is our second cockatiel. And I bird should not eat more than 9 other birds I don’t care how big it is.

When is it safe to touch a baby cockatiel?

My pet cockatiels ( Bella, and Tweety) layed 4 eggs. Yesterday one of them hatched! :) I have been making sure to provide the parents with healthy foods and lots of water. I recently sneaked a peek at the baby and it was adorable. It was small and fluffy. I’m just curious when is it safe to be able to pet and touch the baby birds? And no, I don’t plan on handfeeding but I do want them to be tame. So just please if someone can tell me when is the age I could start to pet them. Thanks!
