What else do I need for my ****.tiel?
I bought a ****.tiel and I was wondering is there any thing else I need for him? So ***?r I have a cage and cage cover, ***?llets, food and water dishes, grooming spray, birb bath typ thing, play “gym” and treats, ****?k about ****.tiels, a vitamin supplement, variety of ***?rches and toys, ***?ttel *****?, and millet spray. my mom’s ****.tiel had a buddy that died about 6 yrs ago. too late for a new cage mate?
my mom’s ****.tiel became the cage mate of my ****.tiel when i moved back home. well, her cat got ahold of my ****.tiel a few months later,and he died. my mom’s ****.tiel was heartbroken.today,yrs later, he still goes down to the spot where my ****.tiel died and sings to the empty spot where my ****.tiel laid. i know he’s lonely. he was fledged in ’00. is it too late for a new cagemate?

Should I cover my ****.tiel’s cage at night?
I rescued my ****.tiel, Pixie, from a neglectful, smoke-filled home so I’m trying to provide the best environment for him possible. I’ve read that birds’ cages should be covered at night so they can sleep undisturbed, ****? I also read that ****.tiels can suffer “night frights” and that the best way to avoid this is by using a night light near where the bird sleeps. So should the cage not be covered so the bird can ***?e with the aid of the nightlight? Or will enough light come through the cage cover? If so, what is the best material for a cage cover to allow some light in? Pixie and I thank you in advance for your help!
Should have been a little clearer in my question! I do keep the cage covered on three sides and the top whenever he’s in it to keep him from drafts, so I’m mostly ***?king if I should cover the front at night too.
